My name is Chanel Freeman PMHNP-BC

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Chanel developed an early awareness of the fragility of the mind after experiencing a life-altering event at a young age. As a minority, she quickly recognized the lack of health education within her community, which inspired her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from D'Youville College in 2012. With over a decade of experience working with individuals affected by mental health and substance use disorders, Chanel has gained in-depth knowledge and expertise in these areas. In 2020, she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing and began her career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
